Liz (Monroe) Loker - 10-07-2003 I just want to say thank you to the Reunion Committee for doing such a great job. I wish I could have stuck with it, not only to help out, but to see all of you! You are a great group of people! Thanks to each and everyone of you for making this event a special memory for me!!! I was so nervous about going to the reunion, especially since I've never been to one. I guess I had the old high school jitters of feeling like that ackward teenager. Everyone was so nice, just like in high school, that I forgot I was nervous and had the best time ever!! We had one of the best graduating classes at Mott, so I feel lucky to have been apart of it. It was so nice to see all of you! It was especially nice to talk to all of you who I didn't get to see much in high school because we never had any classes together after elementary of junior high. The sad thing is that there were many of you at the reunion that I didn't get to talk to because there wasn't enough time or I just didn't recognize you. I was looking at the list of people who attended the reunion and I kept saying 'Wow, I didn't know they were there.' So, better luck next time. It was great to see all of you out-of-towners: Zoann (Cook) Beck, Janet (Newman) Ali, Dave Karpinsky, Jason Moy, Marcy (Culbertson), Robin Tubb, Carol Alexander, Susan Lloyd, Roger Plieman, Laura Shevzoff, etc. Of course it was great to see all my old friends!!! It was great to see everyone!!! Keep in touch!!! (my e-mail address is: lmonroe@umich.edu) Leslie Gordon-Shingleton - 10-04-2003 It was a lot of work but it certainly paid off in the end. We had an outstanding reunion last weekend and I am glad that I was a part of it. Thank you to the rest of the reunion committee for all of your hard work and I am glad I was able to be a part of it. I had a wonderful time catching up with everyone and wish it had lasted longer (3:30am was not enough). There were many people I wanted to talk to but didn't get a chance to and I apologize for that. It was amazing how long it took to recuperate from that party, we are getting old. Didn't we used to have all nighters and not even skip a beat? Now I have to laugh at how the kids wake up at 7:15am no matter what time Dan and I go to sleep. I hope that everyone stays in touch through this web site and keeps us updated to where they are. This will help us in finding everyone so that it won't take us 3 years to gather addresses. Take care everyone and e-mail me if we didn't get a chance to talk that night. I'd love to hear from you. I can't believe it's been 23 years since I've seen everyone , and that I could remember everyone's names (well almost everyone - my brain cells are getting a bit old). I had a blast seeing all of you again, reminiscing, and catching up with what's going on in your lives. I'm sorry I missed seeing some of you - hard to believe, but 6 hours was not enough time! Anyways - thanks again to the reunion committee, and thanks to everyone for attending! Wasn't that a Party, could've been the beer, must have been three four six packs, I don't know ,but look at the shape I'm in, My head is like a football, I think I'm gonna die.....thinking me oh me oh my Wasn't that a Party!!!!' I can't thank all of you wonderful people for attending the reunion. I know all the time we spent planning this was worth it! I can't beleive some of you came as far away as Ca. It was so nice to catch up and hear how good you all are. Thanks for bringing your significant others I hope they heard some good stories that you might have forgotten. I hope we hear from everyone who attended on this guest list. I personally am savoring every page in the memory book, Karen and Monica did a great job!! To all of our hard working committee members I know how much time you put into this and I will be missing you very much! Is it too early to start on the 25th? For those of you who couldn't come, try to make next one, as I have said before you missed the best party ever! I hope every one made it home okay and please let us know you did. It was a fantastic night and I was very impressed with how incredible everything was. It was like a time warp seeing everyone again and ended up being just like the parties back in '83... Only far better, with a bar, DJ, food, nice hotel and no police (while except for the rent-a-cops!)!! I can't imagine anyone doing a better job then the group that put it together. I felt like I aged 20 years on Sunday as I stepped off the time machine into reality. But I hope to stay in touch with all of the people I haven't seen in the last 20 years and caught up with on Saturday!! Thanks Again! Mark Janet Ali - 09-29-2003 OOps!!! Pardon my typos in that last entry! Janet Newman Ali - 09-29-2003 The reunion was really great! I alsmost didn't come bat am really glad I did. I had kind of written off High School but was glad to find so many old friends who have grown in so many ways and were so fun to catch up with. Trish, you are one fantastic lady, Sue Smith Stoll funnier and cuter than ever! I was just so happy to see karen Hishok, Susan Lloyd, Lori Federonko, Lisa Rolando, Janice Jurewicz, Jana Ivan, Tammy Norcross, Diane Stein Fischer, Diane Briggs, etc. I was very impressed with all of you and where you are in your life. Joni Walawender Bazil - 09-29-2003 I didn't have a chance to thank All of you on the reunion committee on Saturday, so I would like to take this opprtunity to thank you personally for making our 20th reunion so special, fun and memorable. I had so much fun seeing everyone. It almost seems like we were on summer vaction, everyone looked good, and was as friendly as could be! I dont see where 20 yrs. went. To bad it didnt start earlier, 7-1am wasnt enough of time. The food was good, wine and class CD was very nice..I got so caught up with my own life, I had fogotten alll the fine people and fun we had in school. It was so refreshing to see how we all are still the same great people of the the class of 1983. I give a million Thank You's to everyone who made such wonderful memories for me last night. I cant express to anyone what a nice feeling I hold in my heart for all the people I reunited with last night!! Everyone -- THANK YOU!!!! Patrice Robert Granata - 09-28-2003 For the classmates that attended our 20 year reunion last evening, thank you very much for taking the time to re-new old friendships and also establish some new friendships. For the classmates that were unable to attend, you were certainly missed and it is our hopes that you will seriously consider attending the 25 Year?? or 30 year to share in the excitement. You missed a great one! It was indeed a great evening which as always ended much too soon. I am sure that we could have kept the party going all night long. It was great meeting the significant others that share in our fellow classmates lives, learning about their children, careers and in general just getting caught up with what they have been doing for the last 20 years. My sincere appreciation and thank you to Karen Hishock, Jill Boslooper, Diane Stein, Diane Briggs, Steve Hough, Mary Giordano, Kurt Romberger, Leslie Gordon, and Lori Copeland and Monica Matusz as this reunion would not have been possible without them. After leaving the hotel this morning, I was actually saddened by the fact that our monthly planning meetings have come to an end.
